How to prepare

Read one section with your child at a time and let the child pick an answer before you show it. Short sessions of 10 to 15 minutes work best at this age. After each answer, talk about the explanation, point to the thing if it is near you, and ask a follow up like what is a baby dog called.

Class 2 GK is about the world around the child. Use pictures, real fruits, a calendar and a toy flag to make the answers stick. You can also copy the questions into a notebook to make a simple GK worksheet for class 2 and repeat it after a week.

Study tips

  • Practise for 10 minutes a day rather than one long session.
  • Show real objects or pictures for animal, fruit and shape questions.
  • Repeat the questions a child got wrong after two or three days.
