How to prepare

Use these GK questions for class 4 in short daily sessions of 10 to 15 questions. Ask the child to read the question aloud, think about all four options and then choose one. Praise the effort, then read the explanation together so that the child learns the reason and not just the answer.

Most of these questions connect to the EVS and science topics taught in class 4: plants, animals, our body, water, the Sun and planets, and India's national symbols. Link each fact to daily life, for example by spotting the national bird on a coin or naming planets while looking at the night sky. Revisit the wrong answers after a week to check that the child now remembers them.

Study tips

  • Practise 10 questions a day instead of many questions once a week.
  • Draw and label the national symbols and the planets in a GK notebook.
  • Turn the questions into a family quiz game so that learning stays fun.
